Where are you from, and where did you shoot your roll?

I was born and raised in the DC Metro Area. These days, I am literally all over the place, never staying in one spot for too long. I shot my roll while studying in Lacoste, France. The majority were taken in southern France, except several photos shot Paris and Giverny.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Bubbly, Passionate, Ambitious.

How did you like France?

France was a dream!! In Lacoste, I felt like a real-life Belle from Beauty and the Beast. The whole experience allowed me to unplug and recharge, while simultaneously appreciating and experiencing a new culture. My creative juices were flowing!

What is your next travel plan?

California!! I have never been to the West Coast and I am dying to go!

We meet again in 10 years, where are you and what do you do?

I am without a doubt still glued to my camera. I work for a magazine and photograph lifestyle and fashion editorials. I also have hopefully learned to cook more than PB&Js. My husband has to hide my credit card from me as my love of fashion and shopping has grown even more.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography means sharing my unique perspective of the world. Because of photos, my mother is able to visually share with me some of her fondest memories. Through photography, stories are recorded, specific moments are captured, and styles and ideas are shared amongst cultures.

Right-handed, but left-handers are the coolest people around.

Your idea of happiness?

Happiness is not a specific end goal. I don’t have certain parameters I need to reach in order to attain happiness . Rather, I think happiness is a perspective and a way of life. No matter what life throws your way, it is how you react to daily life that determines happiness.

Your idea of misery?

My idea of misery is being trapped - being told what to do and how to live without the option of being your own person.

If not yourself, who would you be?

Rihanna, definitely Rihanna.

My hero is my mother. She has been there through thick and thin and is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. I’m so blessed to know her, let alone be able to call her my mom.
